Jessica Levens

Catering Sales Manager

I was born and raised in Minnesota and I graduated college from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management with a concentration in Event Planning. I fell in love with event planning during college when I had an internship at a country club, serving and working events. Since graduation I have worked in a variety of positions such as an administrative assistant at a catering company and an event coordinator with a local venue in St. Paul. One interesting fact about me is that I love giraffes which makes the Como Zoo such an amazing place to work.

Patty Michaels

Catering Sales Manager

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I have been in the hospitality industry for 20 years. At age 15 I started as a car hop waitress at A&W then I moved on to being a banquet server for a local catering company. Growing up I always thought I wanted to be a teacher until a friend convinced me to study Travel & Hospitality which led me to working at a resort in Nisswa, MN. I graduated in 2002 and got a job at a catering company in Downtown Saint Paul. I was there for 11 years before I went into hotel sales. I missed catering and event planning so after 5 years I decided to search for my next adventure. I believe you must have a passion for what you do and take pride in it. I think Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is such an amazing place to host an event so it’s a perfect fit for me.
